Our commitment
fuel is built by a parent, for families. We take your privacy as seriously as we take our own family's. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we don't do
- Sell your data to anyone, ever
- Run ads or share data with advertisers
- Track you across other websites

- Share your information with third parties for marketing
Children's data
We take extra care with children's information:
- Children's data is used only for meal planning and Questy rewards
- Children never see macro numbers or calorie counts
- We never market to children
- Children's data is never shared with third parties
- Parents have full control over their children's data
Third-party services
We use these trusted services to operate fuel:
- Stripe — payment processing (they have their own privacy policy)
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
- OpenAI — AI meal suggestions (we send only anonymized data: age ranges, dietary restrictions, and nutrition targets — never names, emails, or device info)
We carefully vet all third parties and only share the minimum data necessary.
AI Features & Data Processing
Fuel uses AI to generate personalized meal suggestions. When this feature is enabled by a parent:
What is sent to our AI provider
- Anonymized member tokens (e.g., 'Member 1'), never real names
- Dietary restrictions and macro targets
- Activity type for the day (e.g., 'rest day', 'training day')
- Taste preferences (e.g., 'prefers spicy food')
What is never sent
- Family member names or nicknames
- Email addresses or account identifiers
- Exact ages or birthdates
- Location or device information
- AI features require explicit parental consent
- Consent can be revoked anytime in Family Settings
- AI provider does not store prompts per our enterprise agreement
- All data is anonymized before leaving Fuel servers
